Problem using keyboard with windows resume loader

Hi

I have Windows 7 and somehow got a windows resume loader issue come up.  Only problem is that I can't use the keyboard (none of the keys work) to select any of the options, so can't go any further.  Turning the computer on and off doesn't help either.

Have tried wireless and wired keyboard, as well as unplugging all other USD devices.

Thanks Ajay

none of the above worked.  I thyen went & bought a PS/2 keyboard and that enabled me to select one of the "windows resume loader" options.  From there on, it was easy.

In windows resume loader, there were two options right?

Which one did you choose after your new keyboard worked?

    Hi nigelian,

    1)   What exactly happens when you start the computer?

    2)   What is the exact message that is displayed?

    3)   Do you recall making any changes to the computer before this happened?

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

Step 1: Boot the computer in safe mode and then test. To do this, follow the steps below:

Access the Advanced boot options menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key continuously before Windows starts. On the advanced boot options menu select Safe Mode

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: Try startup repair and then system restore

Access the Preinstalled recovery options on your computer >When the computer is restarting press F8 key> On the Advanced Boot Options screen >Select repair you computer option >

Click the first option to perform startup repair

    1)   Startup repair: - Startup Repair is a Windows recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files that might preventWindows from starting correctly.

If that doesn’t help try system restore recovery option as above

    2)   System restore: Put the computer to an earlier point in time when the computer was working fine.

Access system recovery options; please see the steps mentioned in the link below
