Error code 1316

Am getting error code 1316, A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\windows\installer\openofficeorg32.msi.       

Have tried to do a system restore, and am not able to. Might have deleted Microsoft visual C++2007 redistributable -x86 9.0.30729.179.0.30729 from programme updates by mistake or an earlier up date by microsoft, which is making this happen, can any one please help or let me know if i can reinstall the microsoft updates, with a very worried much thanks, Fritterface P.S. the operating system is windows 7 ultimate Ta

    Hi,

    When exactly do you get this error?

    Adding to dax1792’s suggestions, if the error occurs while installing a program, then remove all the components of the program from the

    computer and then try to reinstall it.

    You can downloadMicrosoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) from the link mentioned below and install it manually on your

    computer.
