Magnifier display issues

Hello,

I am having issues with my windows vista ultimate 32-bit ease to access magnifier. For some reason my magnifier can't display any images from the photo gallery in any format, like jpg, or bmp. All I see in the display of the magnifier is white space.

Also how do you get the magnifier to sit behind the background when you play a full screen video from windows media player 11, Real Media, and VLC Player??? Every time I start any video from any format, such as avi, or rm. in full screen mode. The magnifier sits on top of the video blocking part of the video. I would have to turn it off just so it wouldn't block part of my video. This gets annoying having to turn it off and then on again.

I have been searching all over the internet for a solution to these problems, but I could not find any. I also have tried othe magnifier software such as Magnify glass pro and Izoom, but it does not seem to work the same as windows magnifier.

I never had any issues like this when I was using windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows Vista Forums. 

You need to update the latest video and graphics driver from the manufacturer’s website.

If that does not work, let us perform System File Checker (SFC) scan which will help you in resolving the issue.

To determine whether the issue that you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions.

Follow the instructions in the link below to run SFC scan.

I believe I might have solved my own issue by turning off windows areo. After that I was able to display images in magnifer in the photo gallery, but the magnifer still sits on top of the full screen video and it will not sit in the background. I still have to turn it on and off manually.

I am not sure if my windows aero has bugs or not, but I will try the file system checker later on and see what I can find. If I do not find anything I am not sure what else to do to display images in the photo gallery when I use windows aero. I remember having this issue ever since I have installed windows vista ultimate with SP1 for the first time with the windows aero theme.

Is there a patch on making my magnifier display images from the windows photo gallery instead of a blank white screen??? I used to have windows XP and I don't remember it having any issues in view images in the photo gallery, playing videos, or running software. I have searched all over the net and found no solution. I have tried several third party magnifiers, such as zoomi, magnifing glass pro, scripting dolphin guide, zoom text 7.0, and Jaws, but they do not seem to work well with windows vista ultimate edition. Even when I run Autodesk 3DS Max 2010 I see a white blank screen in all 4 quadrants as well. I could not find any patches or fixes to solve this problem.
