KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR when playing games

OK so while playing any games such as Just Cause 2, Assasin's Creed, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, I will get a BSOD after about 2 or 3 minutes into the game. It displays something like KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR 0x0000007a

the parameters (0xc04157b8, 0xc000009d, 0x04add860, 0x82af7848)

caused by driver: ntkrnlpa.exe

I only recently installed windows 7, have installed the latest drivers for graphics card, motherboard chipset, sound, and have tried playing around with installing older drivers, with no noticeable differences.

My computer specs: E6600 Core 2 Duo Intel processor

P5N32E-sli motherboard

2GB RAM

Nvidia GTX 275

Oh, and I have tried memory tests, RAM seems fine, and also I have run chkdsk.

Also, I run a dual-boot sort of thing, with XP on one harddrive, and windows 7 on the other. Everything works fine on the XP harddrive, but I don't think anything is wrong with my 'windows 7 harddrive'

I tried to put in as much detail as possible, I really want to sort this out quickly. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

BlueScreen errors may be caused by either a software problem or a hardware problem.

First, I suggest you to boot into the Safe mode and check if you  get a Blue Screen over there.

Then follow the suggestions A, B and C in order and check if it helps.

(A). Try performing hardware clean boot and check.

Here’s the procedure to do it:

  1. Go to start and type device manager in the start search field.
  2. Type device manager and select device manager from the programs list.
  3. Right Click on Sound Card, Video Adapter, and Network Adapter one by one and click disable.
  4. Reboot the computer.

If this fixes your problem, enable to hardware devices one at time to find the exact device causing this problem.

After you found the device that causing the problem you can resolve by installing last driver or replacing the device.

B). You may also run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool scans your computer's memory for errors.

Refer the following link for more information:

Diagnosing memory problems on your computer

Note : When you run Memory Diagnostic tool and if the tool detects errors, you should contact your computer manufacturer for information about fixing them, since memory errors usually indicate a problem with the memory chips in your computer or other hardware problem.

More information on BSOD is available at TechNet library. You can check it at:
