I am assuming that you have tried searching for the snipping tool by typing snip into the Start Menu search box. If not, please try that first. Otherwise, you should be able to locate the Snipping tool in your system32 folder.
Here's how:
- Open Windows Explorer (Start>Computer)
- Double-Click on the "C" drive (or the drive where your operating system is installed, if not the C drive).
- Double-Click on the "Windows" Folder. You may be notified that the files in this folder are essential system files and should not be altered or deleted. Proceed anyway.
- Scroll down and find the folder labeled "System32". Double Click on it.
- Arrange the files alphabetically by name and scroll down to the "s" section. You are looking for a file called "SnippingTool.exe". Once you've found it, right-click on it and choose "Pin to Start Menu" or "Add to Quick Launch" as desired. This will create a new shortcut to the tool in your start menu or on your quick launch bar. Or, if you prefer, you can choose "Send To" and then "Desktop (create shortcut)" from the right-click menu instead. This will create a snipping tool shortcut on your desktop. Under no circumstances should you delete or move the "SnippingTool.exe" file from the System32 folder, however.
Please let us know if this solves your issue.
Best Wishes,
