I have no idea why LanguagePackSetup is running at all.  I have tried the fix for the error but it does not work.

    Hello sexecutive,

See if you can go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and remove the Language Pack.

If not listed there, do a search for 3rd party software removal program. There are many out there that should help to remove a partially installed program.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

I'm not installing the language pack at all.  That is why I'm wondering about this error.

    Hi,

    1. How are you trying to install Windows Vista Language Interface Pack?
    2. Is it using Windows Vista Language Interface Pack disc or via Microsoft website?

The possible solution for EventID: 1001 is to set Windows Modules Installer and run the setup again.
