windbond CIR Transceiver?

i ran windows 7 upgrade advisor, and this came out. i was wondering whats its purpose?

Hi k3n5t3r,

Winbond CIR Transceiver is a Winbond Consumer Infrared Receiver driver. you can use it with many commercial remote controls.You got this message because this driver is not compatible with Windows 7. You must contact the manufacturer for an updated version of the driver for Windows 7.

    Acer uses that chipset and drivers.

    You mis-spelled winbond

    It's probably your 3G wireless
