I would recommend that you uninstall all the versions of the .NET Framework installed on your computer, then try to install .NET Framework 2.0 followed by the latest versions of the .NET Framework (s). Install Windows installer clean-up utility, and uninstall .net frame work completely. Though the software was uninstall previously, traces of the software would be used by other programs Windows Installer Clean up utility will help uninstalling a program completely.
