No Default Printer

When I go to print tax returns at ProSeries Basic version on my stand alone Windows Vista 64 bit computer, I get a reply saying "No Default Printer Found."  I have gone to download the MicroSoft hotfix, but it won't download successfully.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

  1. Are you able to print on other applications?
  2. Did you install any updates or programs before the issue started?

To resolve this problem, set the default printer manually. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, type control printers in the Start Search box, and then click Control Printers in the Programs list.
  2. Right-click the printer that you want to use, and then click Set as Default Printer. A check mark on the printer icon indicates that the printer is now the default printer.

Check this link for more information:

Hope this helps.

Take a look at the following:

Try installing Mocrosoft XPS Document Writer as the default printer after that and a restart you could then switch it to whichever printer you wish.

    Hope this helps
