Hi,

You are opening a file that is in binary with NotePad. Check your Shortcut - Right Click it - Properties

  • Shortcut tabĀ - Target line and make sure nothing is after the notepad.exe .

If you click on a file type and it opens in notepad then you need to un-associate that file type with

notepad.

    I'm not on Vista. I just want to be able to read the attachment that opens in Notepad. I don't have the right click option to open with another program.
