Hey. i remember on windows XP there s a setting, when you drag a window, you can drag the whole window or drag the outline. where is that setting on windows 7?

    Hi

    Open Control Panel / System. Select Advanced System Settings.

    In the Performance section, select the Settings Button.

    The 'Show window contents while dragging' is the option. Enable this setting to show the entire window and disable this setting to see the outline.

    Hiya

    This kind of helped, thank you, but I had to uncheck the box, click apply, then check it again and click apply.

    I had been using Remote Desktop Connection which had stolen my show-contents-while dragging...

    Probably nothing to do with remote desktop I had to do the double shuffle on a brand new laptop!

    Wow I have been going crazy all morning over this. Thank you so much for your help, I changed my settings somehow and could not remember how to get back again! It is amazing how obsessed I can get over this hahaha! Thank you so much for your help!!
