Local Disk (C:)

My local disk looks like this under computer Local Disk (C:)(C:) so I right clicked to rename and I needed to put in password I hit continue nothing happened so I went under properties and found Authenticated User on top under users What or who is Authenticated User?

Authenticated user includes all users with a valid user account on the computer or in Active Directory services.

Follow the instructions below which might help you in resolving the issue.

Let us try to rename the drive in Clean boot mode.

Step 1: Perform a clean boot

Step 2: Enable half of the services

Step 3: Determine whether the problem returns

Step 4: Enable half of the Startup items

Step 5: Determine whether the problem returns

Step 6: Resolve the problem

Step 7: Reset the computer to start as usual

After checking the issue, put the computer back to the Normal mode.

Uninstall or update the program which is causing the issue.

Check if the issue is resolved.
