Hello L8ter,

  1. Click Start (orb).

2. In the Start Search textbox type Services.msc If prompted by the UAC, provide a password or confirmation. Click Continue.

  1. Scroll down until you locate the entry that is labeled Desktop Window Manager Session Manager.
  2. Right-Click on this service. Select Start from the context menu.
  3. Right Click once again on the entry. Select Propertiesfrom the context menu.
  4. Go to the “General Tab” to change the start up type to Enabled. Click OK.

Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

You can try check color depth. It should be set on highest. This can couse trouble with displaying aero.

It happens the same to me. Anyways it's working and it's Ok. If you try disabling it, you'll see that transparency disappears, and if you enable it, everything works ok again, so I suppose that what's wrong is the message; should have been something like "Desktop windows manager 'was' disabled", and if you see, next to it the icon 'detected'...

But what worries to me is the following message "Video card driver doesn't support Aero effects"..., mmmm..., I own a last generation vaio with an nvidia gforce on it, and it can't be that I am getting this message..., I just can't accept it since it's a modern notebook, and sony sold it to me with windows 7 already installed, so aero should work correctly for granted...

Anyways..., how can I solve this last issue? Anyone that can help me please?

    Slds.
