Can not unregister resource provider Microsoft.Sql

Hello,

Some time ago I registered the Microsoft.Sql resource provider using the Azure portal.
When I try to unregister the resource provider the state changes to 'Unregistering', but then it is stuck.
I waited over 48 hours for the resource provider to become unregistered, but nothing changed.
I validated this using both the Azure portal (after refreshing) and the Azure CLI.

I can register the resource provider again.
When it is registered, I can create servers and databases, so it seems to be working.
But when I try to unregistered, I run into the same issue.

At this point, I'm not sure what I can do to unregister the Microsoft.Sql resource provider.

    I have added the tag for the general SQL server for their insight. If they don't have an answer it would be best to go to support as they need to look at your Stack and resources for troubleshooting this.
