Dell Datasafe Backup

I have a Dell Inspiron. Every time I turn on my computer it says, "Dell Datasafe Local Backup...Loading Please Wait." I want to make my recovery disks, but the computer won't let me. It seems to be frozen on this "loading Please Wait" part of the process, and it won't go any further. How do I get this Datasafe program to unfreeze and/or stop running, so I can start over and try to make the disks again?
