My brother, for some unknown reason decided to delete the folder

Now every time I open a folder I get a warning saying desktop refers to a location that does not exist blah blah blah..

How can I restore this folder so the hotbar link works again?

With it missing I have noticed when i go to save files the computer starts to lock up :S

*edit*

forgot to mention I am using windows 7 home premium.

Hi,

You may try creating a new user account with Administrative privileges and check if that helps. To create a new user account

  1. To open User Accounts, click the Start button, click Control Panel, click User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click User Accounts.
  2. Click Manage another account. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click Create a new account.
  4. Type the name you want to give the user account, click an account type, and then click Create Account.

If the new user account works fine then the previous account was corrupt, you may follow the link given below to fix the corrupt user profile.

Hope this information is helpful.

I don't think the user profile is corrupt, the file was deleted by hand :/

But thanks, I will try and see how it goes
