I cannot download any updates and I keep getting an Internet security code on all my websites I am trying to open.

I have already fixed my time and dates.

I have reinstalled Windows Vista SV2

  What else can I do?

Hi,

This issue may occur if the date and time on the computer varies too much from the valid date and time of the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates that are used by the Windows Update Web site.

As you have already tried resetting the date and time, let’s try following the Method 4 from the KB article 929458.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929458

If that doesn’t work, then you may try resetting the windows update components.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Chethan Kumar.

None of those "fixes" worked for me. Any ideas?

Apart from starting your own thread rather than hijacking a 2 year old thread, perhaps you should make sure that the time and date including Internet Zone are correct on your computer.

If that's right, perhaps run the System Readiness Update Tool and check the logs for further clues.
