how change the defult value in search type in sharepoint list

hi

i have a list and one of my columns is type of search and Received data from another list (the name is city)

i want change the order and default value in another list (city)

the data in the city list in order by the name but i want change them and put on item set a default item.
foe example: in the drop down field show the ROME . i want put the New York set a default value.
how should i do ?

pls help me

    Hi @Leili vazietan ,

    There is no OOB way to set the default value for lookup column in SharePoint online.

    If you are using SharePoint server, we could add a content editor web part and use code to meet your requirement.

    However in SharePoint online modern view there is no workaround to do this.
