Hello swtee0820,

By default Windows Vista has WinHelp macro's disabled. The PowerBASIC Help files uses macro and needs to have WinHelp macro's enabled to operate properly, if macro's are disabled you recieve error 1037 when trying to open the PowerBASIC Help files. You can take a look at this link: **http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607******to help you download Windows Help files. Hope this helps you. Let us know either way. Make it a great day!

The macro error doesn't appear until after you've successfully installed WinHelp.

You have to edit the registry to insert a key to get the macro feature to work and the error to abate.

    32 bit:  HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/WinHelp

    64 bit:  HKLM/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/WinHelp

The name of the data is AllowProgrammaticMacros and its DWORD value is 1.
