ok i have an issue with the direct parallel driver in device manager, it is banged with a code 31 can't load driver, i have tried to uninstall it and scan for new hardware (shot in the dark that it would find the driver) however i can't uninstall as it might be needed for boot.  and yes i did tell it to roll back driver which did not work because there is not an old one, tried to update but it claims the one installed is the best driver.  i have uninstalled the nic and reinstalled through company's website not windows update this did not work, so i tried through windows update and that did not work either.  the nic is an intel pro/100 ve network connection.  any ideas would be great

Hi Matt,

Are you using the a parallel connection between two computers?

The nic your referring to appears to be a standard Ethernet type and should not require anything pertaining to parallel port connected network drivers.
