I have multiple themes downloaded from Microsoft on both my 64-bit Win7 Ultimate & Win7 Pro machines.  To change a theme, I must do so manually.  Is there a way to link all of these themes and run asone slideshow?

You can add individual images from several themes to a single slidewhow. Right click a blank area of your desktop and select Personalize from the menu. In the new Personalization window, select Desktop background from the list at the bottom. Your installed windows background slideshow images should be listed in this new Desktop background window. Go through the categorized list and hover over any picture you wish to add and a small checkbox will appear in the top-left of the thumbnail of the image.

Check any image you wish to add to your slideshow.

Hi clhardingjr,

If you want to have a slideshow with pictures (wallpapers) from multiple themes, you need to create or edit a theme to manually add the desired pictures, as explained by Jeeped above. It's not possible to select two themes at the same time, nor to tell Windows to automatically chain from one theme's slideshow to another theme's slideshow.

dont listen to these other guys. i just did this myself. open personalizations on your desktop. click on a theme. click desktop backgrounds and then shrink that screen. now right click on your desktop and open another personalization screen. shrink it 2. now on the new screen set a different theme than the 1 you have on the first screen. click desktop. now grab and drag the pics from the second screen to the first. this will add the pics from the second to the first. on then second click back and select another theme click desktop and do it all over again. repeat these steps until you are done adding the pics you want. click save changes and you are done.

re: "This only lists the current theme. If I click on another theme, it does not add to the current slideshow."

This statement appears contradictory to me. If only one theme is listed, how can you click on another theme?

Perhaps you are not in the correct place. Following my previous directions, you should be in All Control Panel Items > Personalization > Dektop Background. This should be listed in the address bar at the top. The page is title Choose your desktop background and the Picture location dropbox should read Windows Desktop backgrounds. If you wish everything listed to be a part of your slideshow, there is a Select All button.

I've used this method myself to combine the Canada and United States landscapes into a slideshow while disregarding the Architecture, Characters, Lanscapes, Nature and Scenes theme images.

This only lists the current theme.    If I click on another theme, it does not add to the current slideshow.  I need to link all installed themes into one slideshow.
