    Hi Alsenor,

Are you getting any error message related to Localhost service?

If yes, what is the complete error message?

Localhost is a service which is present in Windows 7, if you’re getting any error message related to Localhost not available; please follow the steps below to enable it.

    1.       Click on Start, Control Panel and select "Programs and Features" category.

    2.       Open Programs and Features, at the left pane, you will find "Turn Windows Features on or off", click on it.

    3.       Scroll down to find Internet Information Server (IIS) and enable it to use Localhost functionality on your Windows 7 computer.

    Hope this information helps you.

    Regards

    "Localhost" isn't a service. "

    IIS = Internet Information Services.

Sounds like a service to me.

I used to make use of it when I was on XP Pro, and wanted to make sure that W7 HP is enabled as well.

Found out meanwhile, thanks to Yaaser.

    Thanks anyway.

"Localhost" isn't a service. It's a DNS name assigned to the IP

address 127.0.0.1, and equates to the local computer, itself. It's

built into the TCP/IP networking protocol for testing purposes. If you

have the TCP/IP protocol installed and enabled, you have the

"localhost." Test it by opening a command line window and typing "ping

    127.0.0.1" or "ping localhost."

Is there some specific problem you're trying to resolve?
