Try using a different keyboard. If it keeps it up, try reinstalling your main keyboards driver.

Im using windows xp sp2. My both shift keys have stopped working. I havnt installed any new windows updates or components. Also noted that every time i press caps or numlock or scrlock keys, a popup window comes up indicating CAPS-LOCK; ON...etc. I think it only started with the same incident. Please help me. I have sticky keys and shortcuts disabled.
