my calendar on windows 7 gadgets is changing the date one day when switching from march2010 to april 2010, so on the march2010 page it says that 1 april2010 is a thursday, but on the april2010 page it says that 1 april2010 is a friday

is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

    Hey johnawad1,

o    What about the system date?

o    Does it display the correct day for 1st April?

Reinstall the gadget and verify the date in the new installation.

To do so, remove the gadget from Windows “Programs and Features” and enable it back.

    Refer:

Turn Windows features on or off

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Turn-Windows-features-on-or-off

Give it a shot and see where it ends.

well about the unable disable the calendar gadget, i didn't find it in the windows features, now there's one called "windows gadget platform", does it have anything to do with the calendar? if yes then by disabling then enabling it again the problem persists. Now by entering april2010 the orange page below the month that shows the day, date, month, year shows a correct date(saturday 3 april 2010) but the page above it says that today(which is saturday, 3 april, 2010) is sunday 3 april 2010 altough saturday is highlited in orange (all of this is in the upper page)

    Hey johnawad1,

Try these steps. Let's see what happens after this.

    1.     Close Windows Sidebar. To do so, right-click on the Sidebar icon in the Notification area and click Exit.

    2.     Open an elevated Command Prompt window.

    To do so:

    a.     Go to Start > All Programs.

    b.     Click Accessories.

    c.     Right-click on Command Prompt and then click Run as administrator.

    3.     In the Command Prompt window, type the following commands one at a time and press ENTER:

    regsvr32 msxml3.dll

    regsvr32 scrrun.dll

    regsvr32 jscript.dll

If the registration was successful, you'll see the message DllRegisterServer in <filename> succeeded for each command executed.

Upon completing the steps, open Windows Sidebar and check if the problem is resolved.

as you can see in the picture the system calendar is displaying everything right, but not the same goes for the gadget.

now my system time is gmt+2 (beirut, Lebanon) and "**Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time"**is enabled. But even after disabling it nothing changes

on other PCs and laptops here at home, the gadget works well

PS: sorry i was late to reply, i didn't recieve an e-mail alert

    Hey johnawad1,

    That is the correct selection.

Nevertheless, what is the time zone setting of your computer?

Similar problem was observed in the previous operating systems for computer set to use a time zone in which the daylight saving time change starts at midnight, such as the "(GMT-3:00) Brasilia" time zone.

This was also observed with Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time check box selected in the Time Zone Settings dialog box.

Let us know if this is the case with you so that we can further look into the issue.

For further help, please post a screenshot of the calendar.
