Most programs written for Windows Vista also work in Windows 7, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows doesn't run correctly, you can try changing the compatibility settings for the program, either manually or by using the Program Compatibility troubleshooter.

To run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter:

    1.      Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.

    2.       In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.

    3.      Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.

    4.      Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

If you can’t install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

    Hi,

Hope you can help me with my case. I am using a ASUS A8Ne series laptop, with a built in Chicony Web Cam (USB2.0 0.3 UVC WebCam) with "Lifeframe 2" program and I was not successful in making it work with windows 7. I have tried using the trouble shooting method but it didn't worked as well. I was able to use it properly when i was still using both Windows XP SP2 and Vista Ultimate but now, i am having a hard time making it work for Windows 7...

Hope you can shed some light and share me your expertise on how to trouble shoot it.

I am going to scratch Window 7 and install Vista, at least then I can install and use my graphics software, as Windows 7 will not allow it. This is terrible. Buy a computer with Windows 7 on it and no one will help with the problems, leaving us stuck. I will not buy another microsoft product again.

I think that I should go take a serious look at MAC's.
