My laptop was working just fine then I tried logging in the other day and it started running something.....it went on and on.  I don't really know what it was but I believe it was a microsoft program.  I know I should have written it down.  Anyway, now I'm getting the above error message and it will not give me the log on icon.

Hi silk0226,

I would suggest you to check if you receive this error while booting into Safe mode.

Step 1: Start your computer in safe mode

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: Perform a clean boot

If you’re able to boot into safe mode, then put the computer into a clean boot state while in safe mode by following the steps in the link given below and then restart the computer.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows 7

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once the troubleshooting is over, reset the computer to start as usual.

Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need any further assistance.
