    MsITman,

You stated in your last post that you could not download an updated driver from Logitech.  What error are you getting or what is the issue you are having with downloading the driver?  This problem does seem driver related so you need to get the newest driver from Logitech and get it installed.  You might try installing the driver in Safe Mode or if it is an executable file try right clicking on the file and selecting "run as administrator".

Try this system file check to make sure there are no corrupt system files:

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.

Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue

At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER:

    sfc /scannow

When the scan is complete, test to see whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved.

Let us know how we can further assist you.

    Thank you,

    Gloria

    Hello MsITman,

Thanks for using the Microsoft Answers Forum.

You might try updating any drivers or software that are available from the manufacturer to see if they have any recent versions that are newer than what you have already installed. The particular error you are receiving does note that something seems to be amiss with the drivers.

You might try removing the drivers and any related software for the device by using the Windows installer Cleanup Utility to remove any leftover files, reboot the machine and then try to reinstall the drivers and software.

Also, please answer the questions below.

    1.       What version of Windows Vista are you currently using?

    2.       Are you using a 32bit or 64bit operating system?

    3.       Have you noticed an issue with other software or hardware prior to or coinciding with this issue?

Let us know what you find.
