MSVCR80.dll problem

Hi

I work as a photographer and use just Nikon's image editing software - Capture NX2. It's stopped working - means I can't work. I've been back anf forth to Nikon support. They now say it's a MS problem - here's their latest response -

**All CNX2 crashes on your machine state MSVCR80.dll as the faulting module. MSVCR80.dll is a "Microsoft C runtime library, version mismatches and other errors in the C runtime library commonly cause application failure on Microsoft systems.".**This means nothing to me!!! Anyone have any suggestions please? I'd be really grateful - I have three shoots later this week and haven't a clue how I'm going to complete them. Using Vista 64-bit.

i am running Capture nx2 ver2.2.4 on windows 7  Home Premium, with an intel i7 CPU.  Capture crashes with no error message.  My main use on computers is photography so this is important.
