I am trying to run a program called PED-Basic which is an embroidery program used to view and write embroidery designs to a card.  When I try to open a file to view the contents a small window pops up that says that MFC application has stopped working and it will search for a solution, but then it does not find a solution and it shuts down.  How can i fix this problem.  I am running it on a laptop that has vista.

Hi,

Try running the program PED Basic as administrator.

Follow the steps as in the link for your program PED Basic:

http://www.eeginfo.com/knowledgebase/entry/49/214/

If the above steps fail then try a sfc scan and system restore from the link below:

All the Best!!!!
