"Start Burn" button not working

I followed the instructions in Vista for buring a music CD.....dragged files from 'details list' to 'burn list' then tried to click on the 'start burn' button, but nothing happens! When I scroll over ANY other item on the page it highlights showing I can click on it, but when I scroll onto the 'start burn' button....nothing. Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Hello Arbym,

Thanks for using the Microsoft Answers Forum.

This problem can sometimes arise of the computer you are using does not have or does not recognize a compatible burning device. I will consider that you have checked your drive and have found it to be in proper working order. The next thing would be to check and make sure that you are not trying to burn too much data to the CD. If you have added more songs than what will fit on the CD then the burn button will be grayed out.

Give these suggestions a try and let us know what happens.

Hi. I am having the same problem.  I have used the same burner, same cd's, but now the BURN NOW button is not working. I am only trying to put two songs on the CD, so I am not over the limit.  ANy other ideas?

    Thanks in advance.
