I am trying to study for a test, at school the computer uses windows xp, just like my computer, and i can view the flashcards on the school computer, but on my computer a security warning comes up that says...Windows has blocked this software because it can't identify the publisher. I have IE8. Is there anything that I can do to be able to see and use these flashcards? http://oc.course.com/sc/off2007/flashcards.cfm?ISBN=978-1-4188-4338-0&project=1&product=word&action=learn

    Hi FaithMomof7,

    • When was the last time it was working?

    • Do you have any security software installed on the computer?

It looks like the website is trying to download add on and is unable to download.

I would suggest that you enable the active plug-in in the internet explorer browser and check if it works.

    • Open Internet explorer, click ToolsInternet Options.

    • Click the Security tab – Custom Level button.

    • Run ActiveX and plug-ins – Enabled

    • Download Signed ActiveX Control – Enabled

    • Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting – Enabled

    • Click OK and apply, close the browser and try again.

If the above step fails there are possibilities if any add on is conflicting I would suggest that you check if any add-ons on the Internet explorer are causing the error. Would suggest you to try opening Internet explorer in the no add-ons mode.

    • Click the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

Refer the link below for more information.

    Hope this helps!
