Default Application Sound volume

Hello,

I am using win7 Home Premium and am having trouble with the default application volume. For example when i start a game, the default application sound volume is 0 and i have to open sound mixer to raise the volume for that particular app. Even though whenever i close the game with the volume set to what i would like it to start out with at next launch, it goes back to 0 all the time.

Where or how can i make it remember the volume i would like it to start with.

Help is appreciated!

Hi FunkyTech,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Answers!

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Click on Start-> type in services.msc-> Browse for “Windows Audio” and double click on it.

You will now get the window for Windows Audio Properties-> Under the General tab-> Check for the Start up Type->Set it as “Automatic”.

Repeat the same for “Windows Audio End Point Builder” service.

Method 2: Download and install the latest updated audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website which is compatible with the Operating system.
