Hi queryinVA,

1)   Which program (and update) are you trying to install?

2)   What is the exact error message you receive?

Users have fixed similar issue by setting Windows Installer service to manual.

Windows Installer Service - Adds, modifies, and removes applications provided as a Windows Installer (*.msi) package.

**Step 1:**Make sure “Windows Installer”Service is set to manual and started. To do this, follow these steps:

a)   Click on Start-Run, type  services.msc, the click on OK.

b)   When the Services window loads, navigate to the  "Windows Installer  Service", the double click on it to open it,

c)   Make sure the "Startup Type" says "Manual" and  started. If it doesn't, use the drop down menu to change it.

Check to see if the issue is resolved and let me know

Note: If you are installing a legacy version of the program when most current version of the program is already installed you may encounter such issues.

Thanks and Regards:
