Unmountable Blue Screen error problems

After following the suggestions read on the forums, I am stuck.

I run Widows 7 Home Premium (upgrade). My Dell laptop updated the latest set of security updates from Microsoft and I was greeted in the morning with a blue screen error- specifically a UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME error.

The STOP: 0x000000ED (0xFFFFFFA8004C448DO, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000185, 0x0000000000000000) was displayed at the end.

I am unable to enter any of the Safe Modes, select Repair Your Computer, or boot from my Windows & disc after resetting my Boot Order.

What's next?

Thanks for any advice....

0xFFFFFFFFC0000185 = 0xC0000185, or STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR: improper termination or defective cabling of SCSI-based devices, or two devices attempting to use the same IRQ.

Remove the HDD and insert it again into your laptop.

    Hi,

Since you are not able to boot to safe mode, recovery options and even using Windows disk, I would suggest you to get in touch with DELL for better help.
