Visual Studio 2019 SQL DB data Comparison isn't working

I have logged into dev and Prod Azure SQL Servers within SQL Server Object Explorer (Using the admin username and pw)

These work fine

I then right click on the prod database and choose Data Comparison

I make sure that the credentials are all OK when I add Dev as the comparison DB

Then Compare and all I get is 0 tables and / or views were compared.

Ive tried numerous times and got no where. Is there anything I can do to get this working?

Hi @Debbie Edwards , welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

While doing the comparison as per the Data Comparison wizard "Only tables and views with matching with matching schemas will be compared". So if you have tables with same schema only then you will be able to see the comparison:

After selecting the databases, the next screen shows the common tables and views from both the databases. Please check if tables and views checkboxes have been checked.:

Then clicking on Finish button will give the comparison between the dbs:

Both are different servers I used.

Could you please check once if there are matching schema tables and views in both the databases.
