"The system diagnostic indicates  that the disk queue length is 3 (wehatever this means) . The disk may be at its maximum capacity due to throughput and disk seeks. " I keep doing defragmentation everyday but I think the problem is only alleviated as it seems to be coming back. May be related my Mozilla cannot be accessed as an internet browser and I get in the diagnostic also that the Security Center has not recorded an antivirus product whereas I have AVG! Any suggestions for a non-techie as to how to handle would be very welcome

Hi RogerAlain,

• Do you have RAID configuration setup on the hard drive?

• Where do you get the details?

The built-in Disk Diagnostics in Windows Vista detects impending disk failures and guides you through data backup, disk replacement, and data restoration procedures. When Windows Vista detects a potential disk failure, it warns you of the problem and guides you through the backup and recovery process to minimize the likelihood of data loss.

Not all the antivirus software are detected by the windows security center however you may need to setup in the security center that computer has antivirus software installed.

1. Open Security Center by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Security Center.

2. Click Malware protection, and then, under Virus protection, click Show me my available options.

3. In the Windows Security Center dialog box, click I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Security Center will display your antivirus settings as Not monitored, and you will no longer receive notifications about your virus protection software.

Use antivirus software that Windows doesn't find

Hope this helps!
