Yes, unfortunatelly the negative side of stand-alone MBAM is, that you are forced to uninstall and re-install the MBAM role on the server, which will require you to re-configure the entire setup. Be sure you have existing settings, installation log or required information available.
If you utilize SCCM already, I would advice you to go to SCCM's new MBAM which is called Bitlocker Management. You would transfer your existing clients from one MBAM DB to another just by applying new policies. You don't need to de-crypt the drives.
