I would like to type Chinese on the window Vista. I use this chinese input method called "Jyutping". It is a phonetic system of Cantonese characters. I have heard that windows Vista contains the Jyutping input method already, and I don't need to install a software for it separately. however, I can't seem to find this method in the control panel. Does anyone use this Chinese input method? Do you know how I can set this up on the windows Vista and type Chinese that way?

Thanks very much!

I saw on another forum that on the Add Input Language menu, there's an option of "Chinese (Traditional) - Hong Kong Cantonese" for you to choose (win 7 -64 bit), but I can't find it on mine. Can someone help?

I am using Vista as my OS. If you are using Win 7, I am not sure how much of the following can be applied to you......

Start button > Control Panel > classic view > Regional and Languages > Keyboard and Languages > Change Keyboards > under Installed services, scroll to find ZH Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong S.A.R.) > click that > click ADD > scroll to find Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong S.A.R.), click the +sign in front >click open Keyboard > put checkmark on whichever one you want > click OK when done.

I can't solve your problem, but I might be able to interest you to another method. It is very much similar to your 粵拼, and mine is a free online program.

It is called Online Cantones Input Method : 廣東話輸入法  kwong tung wa sue yap faat.

If you are interested, just google it. That's how I ran into it 2 years ago when I was desperately looking for an input method.
