Network Drive Mapping Issue - Incorrect Password

Using Win 7 Home Premium - new update from Vista.  Yesterday (before the massive Windows update and associated restart), I could connect to a network drive.  Today, I can no longer connect to it.  I have disconnected and tried to remap it, but the computer shows my password as incorrect.  It shows the domain as my computer - is that the problem?

Hi Jim_Mauro9,

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows forum.

First check if your computer is connected to a Domain or a Workgroup ?

Click Start >> Right Click on Computer >> Click Properties and check if your computer is on Workgroup or Domain.

If it is on Domain contact : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/w7itpro,windowsvistaitpro,windowsxpitpro/

If it is on Workgroup :

Click Start >> click "Network and Sharing center" >> click "Advanced Sharing center" and Turn off password protection sharing and save changes.

Hope it helped

    Hi:

I had the same problem (Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit) and i dicovered that turning off password protection would solve it but, is there a way to do it without turing it off. I have a homegroup, just a router and 5 computer within the house attached to it so i don't need password protection, but it was working before and i just wonder what the problem is.

    Thanks.

    (sorry about my english)
