    What is the "0xc0000135 error"

    Here are some examples from my notes- all are easy to resolve:

    STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}

    This application has failed to start because winsrv.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may

    fix this problem.

    STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}

    This application has failed to start because GDI32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may

    fix this problem.

    STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}

    This application has failed to start because RPCRT4.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may

    fix this problem.

    STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}

    This application has failed to start because USP10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may

    fix this problem.

    STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}

    This application has failed to start because basesrv.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may

    fix this problem.

    Any "expert Microsoft Engineer"  can assist.

    It is a windows Installer program problem and none of the solutions suggested by microsoft seem to be able to fix it. That is apparent from my efforts and ALL the unanswered threads related to this topic. I find it hard to believe that microsoft will not address this issue.

    My hard drive crashed a few days ago and I reformatted and reloaded everything.  One of the application programs that I use does not properly initialize  --- I get the 0xc0000135 error.  Don't like that!!  The application works because I had installed it and used it for several weeks prior to the crash.  Can anyone help?  Please?
