problem with finding dxdiag

i can't locate dxdiag, even with i run and search for it, it comes out empty. i also installed the new directX 11 to see if it would fix things, but no avail. it's weird, because i could have sworn i've used it before...

cant someone help me?

p.s im running vista home pre

Hi,

Do these to repair/replace damaged/missing system files.

Start - type in Search box -  COMMAND   find at top of list -  RIGHT CLICK  -  RUN AS ADMIN

sfc /scannow

    Hi,

    Logon as ADMIN

    Use Start - Computer   OR   Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Windows\System32

    Right Click on Dxdiag.exe  - RUN AS ADMIN

    i tired what you asked me to do.but i didnt see a dxdiag.exe

    but i did see dxdiag.dll, so it must have been there once.
