NTFS.SYS Failed and Page Fault in Non Paged Area

Question

On Win 10, the system crashes attaching an external drive with the following error: ntfs.sys failed and page fault in non paged area. Is there a fix?

The PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced. Typically the memory address is wrong or the memory address is pointing at freed memory.
Firstly I suggest that you could check for update. If we could find some security updates, installing them. It will update system files. Then try to attach again.
If the issue still insist, you could check the memory and disk, update your drivers etc. Please check the information in the link below.
