Hi,
1. Are you able to boot to desktop?
I would suggest you to try performing system restore form recovery options and check if it helps:
Hope it helps.

I tried to upgrade Vista Home Premium to Service Pack 2 several times. Now after running startup repair I am getting - Root cause found: Unspecified change to system configuration might have caused the problem. Result: failed Error code = 0x4005 Time Taken=734ms All other tests and diagnosis completed successfully.

I am having problems with a windows 8.1 computer. The update crashed it. I found out through the command prompt that there was an error code '0x4005'. I tried system restore, but the hard drive hadn't been security enabled, so I couldn't go on with a restore. I now am stuck and desperately need a fix. Help!
It has helped this time. Will there be more times to worry about???
I hope not.
