    Hi rosenlove26,

    ·        What is the exact error message that you get when you try to enter the PID? (If possible, copy and paste the error message)

    ·        For which Microsoft Product Support are you trying to start the request?

    ·        Does it read as “Windows is activated” just above the PID in “Computer” properties?

Post with the required information so that we can help you better. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks and Regards, Santosh Y – Microsoft Support

    Hi rosenlove26,

    ·        From where did you get the Product Identification number?

Product Identification (PID) number is not the product key that you used to install Windows. Have a look at the following article link to Locate PID for Windows:

Product Identification (PID) Locator – Windows

    Hope this helps.
