I have a new computer with Microsoft 2010.  I just installed the language pack for latvian and cannot understand the keyboard.  Types everything incorrectly!  For instance when I type the letter "n" I see a letter "o".  Help?  I have previously used the Tildes birojs program - but thought my new 2010 version would be easier to upload.

There is no product called Microsoft 2010. Do you mean Microsoft

    Office 2010?

You are using the wrong keyboard layout. You need the keyboard layout

    that matches your physical keyboard.

To change it, go to Control Panel | Region and Language, and click the

Keyboard and Languages tab. Then click Change keyboards... and choose

the one that's right for you.

Hmm... Rather a peremptory reply, eh?

I have chosen the Latvian QWERTY keyboard - with no luck in actually getting the keyboard to give me Latvian characters. On my old PC I used AltGr with the designated letter and - bingo! - everything was okay. Here - nothing.

Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong?
