Virtual Disk Service Failure

Hi, got a strange one -

We have a fully patched 2008R2 VM running with two local drives and two SAN-based ISCSI connected drives.

All the drives are accessible, but the two SAN drives do not present their administrative shares, trying to execute a disk management operation (e.g. Shrink Volume) results in a 'please wait while we scan' popup that stays up until a reboot, and Event Log (File Server log) lists the following errors on each boot -

I have tried the suggestions made in this thread - http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7performance/thread/9bbbdc23-c07a-42b1-a8d5-ab12336ecdfc - which was the only one I could find experiencing a similar problem, but disabling Kaspersky AV client and rebooting did not remove the issue, and removing the sole non-MS startup app (a falconstor monitoring app for the SAN disks) resulted in the SAN disks not being presented at all.

Is there a way I can reinitialise the VDS service? We have another 2008R2 VM connecting to identically-configured disks on the same SAN that's not having any problems.

Yeah, sorry found the only previous example of this error and posted in the same place before I realised my mistake - I will delete, if possible
