original title: change rem file to a jpeg

Having problems with a few picture files that were converted to the file ext.rem now I'm tryin to convert these files to jpeg any and all help would be appreciated

    This is not a valid answer....

    .REM files are created by Blackberry pictures as the raw storage format for the images. It is best to use the software for the Blackberry device you are using to facilitate the transfer.

    However, if you are in my shoes and just have the files and no device, I am still looking for a valid way to convert these pictures for viewing.

    I wish those that would reply would actually attempt the fixes they advise first....

    Hi,

    I've just chjecked youtube and it seems you need Blackberry phone then copy the files onto it, then go: OPTIONS>MEDIA CARD>ENCRYPTION>switch it to "none".

    Then email yourself all the photos.

    Sounds crazy - no wonder RIM went under!
