Ok here goes... my understanding is that is you delete the microsoft update KB2533623

To remove this KB2533623 Windows Update, follow the steps below:

  1. Click "Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features".
  2. Click the "View installed updates" link on the left side of the window.
  3. Locate the "Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB2533623)" update.
  4. Select the KB2533623 update and then click the "Uninstall" button.
  5. Once the update has been removed, restart the computer.

This has worked for me, BUT the upgrade does load everytime I restart so remember to disable automatic updates OR delete KB2533623 everytime.

Me too!  C'mon Microsoft.  I can't get into my application for school!!!  My story reads this same here.  Got update, get this error.  I have turned off my antivirus, no luck, uninstalled, no luck.  Reinstalled, no luck.  I have Trend Micro as someone else mentioned.  Need some instructions that work!!!  Can these Windows updates be backed out?  This is a problem!!!

I also starting getting this error after the recent updates.  I am having the problem when trying to run Shockwave games.  I contacted Shockwave. They reported that many users had contacted them about this problem after the recent Windows updates.  They recommended that I uninstall and reinstall my security software (Norton 2011).  I did this, I disabled all security and firewalls, I redownloaded, the games software.  The problem continues.

The only system changes between when the games worked and when they didn't were the Windows updates.  I am running Windows Vista SP1.

    Hi,

When do you get this error?

Which is the software’s that you are not able to install?

Do you remember making any changes to your computer before the occurrence of issue?

Please provide us more information on the issue so that we can help you in a better way.

As per my research normally you get this error while unpacking spyware Blaster. If you get this error while running Spyware Blaster, follow the steps listed below and check if it helps.

    Method 1

I would suggest that you temporary disable the security software on the computer and later try to install the program, check if it works.

    Disable antivirus software

Note: Disabling security software is a potential threat to the computer we recommend that to enable it back once you are done with troubleshooting.

    Method 2

If the above step fails then I would suggest that you try the clean install process of installing spyware blaster using the below link.

For additional support post your query in the program vendor forums.
