Disable the mini visualizations window

Original Title - Media Player![](http://i3.social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/resources/images/trans.gif?cver=2.13.0068.5)

I'm mostly a big fan of windows media player except for one, seemingly inescapable, annoyance.  The mini player could be one of the coolest things ever, if not for the mini visualizations window that appears every time it is moused over.  When the little window is up, it is a) of absolutely no use, and b) ubiquitously in the way of something.  Is there a way to disable it-forever?

Are you referring to the 'toast' popup that shows the artist, title and album of the current song, and contains a seekbar? To prevent that from popping up, open the Start Menu, type regeditin the Search field, and press Enter. In Regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences , create a DWORDvalue named  DeskbandFlyoutTimeout , and set it to 0x0 .

    Hi hmandad,

To disable the mini mode feature you have to right-click an open area of theWindows taskbar (such as below the system clock), point to  Toolbars, and then clickWindows Media Player. This task will remove the checkmark present with Windows Media Player option. This turns off the mini mode feature.

You may refer to the below link for assistance -

    Hope this helps.
