Would be nice to have an actual answer to the question after 4 years. Does DEP affect performance or does it not?
Does having windows data execution prevention (DEP) on affect performance?
I was just changing some settings to boost gaming performance, and I was wondering if having DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION set to up monitor your memory for unusual activity causes any drop in performance?

2011-06-19T09:48:22+00:00 - I don't know. I was asking, not stating.
- No performance issues. I just want to push every last bit of speed possible out of my system for gaming purposes. Therefore, I wish to turn it off, not on, and was asking if doing so would speed up my machine any. I have searched the FAQ, no answer is available. I have already preformed all other performance enhancements also, so this is the only question I need an answer for. Thanks, Prasetha.
